'Spiritual Warfare" -Monochrome, Blue

The heart represents the inward disposition of a person who has been been in a place of darkness and has fought through the internal battle of spiritual warfare. The marigold flowers are dead, representing a death to despair and grief, which allows room for more growth and prosperity. The red rose (representing the love inside of the person) is accompanied with lavender (devotion), iris flowers (taith & hope, and passion), dandelions (strength, determination, and

perseverance), a pale pink rose (joy), white tulips (forgiveness), blue bells (humility & gratitude), and the borage flower (courage).

There is an ongoing battle between light and darkness. A battle that we may even feel play tug of war within ourselves. It is important to remember that we are not in battle with eachother, but rather that we as flesh and blood are in battle together, against the dark spiritual forces of this world.

Despite the many wicked forces at work,

no matter how dark the times, You can turn on the light and give everything to Jesus.

When all hope seems lost, look to the cross for that is where hope was born. In this piece, I invite You to love and to spread love. I encourage You to persevere through your darkest and trialsome times in life. After all, it's not about how you fall. It's about how you get back up. Like the prominent proverb goes, "7 times down, 8 times back up".

"Calm in the Storm"

Matthew 8: 23-27, is about an event that took place with Jesus and his disciples on a boat when a huge storm swept in, causing the disciples to fear for their lives. They sought Jesus on the boat and found him sleeping. They awoke him, saying "Lord, save us!

We're going to drown!"

Jesus replied "Why are You so fearful, You of little faith?"

Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Then the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

There are many storms we go through in our own lives - where we may feel that God is not concerned or does not hear us. We may be thinking God is sleep in our lives. Rest assured that God is not asleep in your life, and that he IS concerned with you, just as a loving father is to his children. In fact, He loves us so much, He wants us to have faith in him even when our circumstances seem that all is lost. Many times God will use our storms and trials to grow our faith in him.

He is the beginning and the end, there is nothing too big or too small for our Lord. We know from Deuteronomy 31:6, that He will never leave or foresake us.

Going a step further, did You know we can actually praise God in the middle of our Storm? Yes! You can praise him in the valley just as the mountain tops.

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Take joy in knowing God has already delivered You as his child and in him it WILL come to pass. Keeping your tocus on the storm will absolutely leave You teeling overwhelmed and defeated. Fix Your focus everyday on Jesus (the lighthouse) and his power in your life. Let your foundation be a sturdy one of faith built on (His word), and remember, all it takes is faith the size of a mustard seed to move that mountain! (Matthew 17:20
